Adding to my previous posts on outstanding colonial fountains,* this is a post on the example in the monastery at Ocuituco.

The large hexagonal fountain is set on a similar pedestal in the center of the cloister. Carved stone lions crouch on each corner, several of them now headless.
Currently the fountain does not function.

The Ocuituco Fountain is a small but meaningful piece of Morelos' cultural heritage. Through its historic design and connection to colonial traditions, it tells a story of community, adaptation, and the importance of water in Mexican history. Together with the religious and architectural treasures of Ocuituco, the fountain preserves the memory of a town where Indigenous roots and colonial influences continue to coexist.
